With its unique form of equipment, thrilling visuals, and exciting experience, the drop slide has captured the interests of trampoline park investors since its market launch. It has successfully attracted a large wave of young people who are brave enough to try and experience the excitement, and has become a popular device on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. As a result, more and more trampoline parks want to upgrade and add the drop slide modules.

However, it's not as simple as adding any drop slide equipment to a trampoline park! Unlike the simple slides found in general indoor playgrounds, the drop slide has more rigorous requirements and restrictions on the site's size and the height of the building. So what are the requirements and conditions for a trampoline park to install a drop slide?

1. Floor height requirements

To accommodate drop slide equipment, the site must possess a minimum of three floors within the indoor playground. The top of the drop slide must align with the level of the second floor platform. In essence, the smallest drop slide requires a minimum height of 2.8 meters, while the overall site must be at least 4 meters tall.

Naturally, the drop slide can be tailored to fit the specifics of the site. If your structure is tall enough and offers sufficient buffer zones, the drop slide can be constructed not only 2.8 meters high, but even taller.

2.Buffer Area Requirements

In addition to ensuring the building is tall enough, it is essential to allocate a safe buffer zone for the player. As the height of the drop slide increases, the slope becomes steeper and the player descends more rapidly. If the buffer zone is insufficiently long, the player may sustain a serious injury while crossing it.

3.Safety Net Requirements

To guarantee the safety of players during the sliding process, it is crucial to install a fence or barrier around the slide. This barrier should be positioned such that it encloses the slide on both sides, effectively preventing players from falling off the sides of the slide while sliding. This ensures the safety of players and reduces the risk of accidents.

4. Pay attention to the drop slide design

The design of the drop slide function area must be tailored to the location of the venue, taking into account the diverse needs of players of all ages. If the drop slide is too challenging, it may intimidate young players, and if it lacks sufficient safety measures, it could compromise its purpose. Our suggestion is to provide wave sliding for young players and 90-degree vertical slides or even dry snow slides for older players.

Compared to traditional slides, drop slides offer a more challenging and exciting experience, but with increased difficulty comes an elevated safety risk. It is crucial to inform players that they must adhere to the instructions provided when using the slide. Additionally, children who are too young or individuals with medical conditions such as heart disease should refrain from using the drop slide due to its extreme difficulty.
